Die Fotoserie von Bridget Fleming – “Downtown form behind” zeigt das urbane Umfeld New York’S aus einer interessanten Sichtweise – eben von hinten und ausschließlich Menschen auf ihren Fahrrädern. Jedes Portrait ist auf seine Art einzigartig und stellt Straße und Umgebung gleichermaßen in den Fokus wie die Person in diesem Umfeld selbst. Dabei sind über 200 Straßen zusammengekommen. … beeindruckende “installation” aktion der berlinerin monica grzymala. ausschließlich handgefertigt mit/aus schwarzem tape-band. ziemlich beeindruckende arbeit, die, wie die künstlerin selbst sagt eher in richtung zeichnen (mit tape band) denn in richtung installation geht.

anlässlich der neuvorstellung des neuen beetle wird in exklusiver zusammenarbeit mit mtv zeitgleich auf den drei kontinenten asien, amerika und europa und dort in den städten shanghai, berlin, new york die präsentation vollzogen. bei dem kultauto kein verwunderlicher aufwand und mit sicherheit gerechtfertigt. der new beetle erregte kurz für aufsehen, führte bis zuletzt allerdings eher ein schattendasein im sortiment von volkswagen. da ist es nur ugt und richtig diesen kultklassiker von vw wieder gebührend aufleben zu lassen und der weltöffentlichkeit vorzustellen.
